Now i know i dont know what im doing here
am i wasting my time or just spinning my gears?
with each stuttering transmission slips away fears
of the past and the present and these oncoming years
do i write the words that you know to be true
or does truth come from words that i know wrote you?
all the circuits are crossed like your eyes often do
when the void aint as empty as complacency's view
on the questions we know cant be questions without answers
just weaving these webs like such elegant dancers
who have all lost their rhythm and succumb to the cancer
that spreads like the pain that i caused when i chanced her
it gnaws at my liver like the knives that i drink
in hopes to cut away all the thoughts you cant think
but the causes of chaos dont disappear they just shrink
so white blood cells cant recognize they're right on the brink
of expelling corrosive and poisoness thoughts
of the suffocating feeling of forcing a loss
so i twist the blade deep just to see at what cost
do these lessons now come when they’ve long since been taught
are my eyes open? How the fuck can you tell
these days that my mind aint been doing so well
when the mania fades landed right back in hell…
The more that I talk well that’s just the more time
That I have to talk circles and mix up mouth and mind
So I reach for that cure but in the same bottle find
The confliction in all of this maps worn out lines
So I reach to remember the last time I was here
But my memories overwhelmed by those dreams that bring fear
And remind me why im drowning decisions in beer
Before swallowing conclusions as quick as they appear
are my eyes open? How the fuck can you tell
these days that my mind aint been doing so well
when the mania fades landed right back in hell…
